AWARDS & HONORS
In business since 2007, Barbara Graceffa is a talented interior decorator and an award-winning teacher, quilter, and artist. She is a columnist for the Quincy Sun and exhibits her quilts in art galleries and one-woman quilt shows.
Her interior decorating primer, Inside Information: Secrets from Interior Decorator, was published in August 2023. (Copies are available from the author for $22 each.)
In January 20024, she also published a children’s book, Auntie Barbie’s Beautiful Quilts to share with children of family and friends.
She is working on another book, A Walk Down Cheat, Street showcasing her many art quilts made from pre-printed fabric panels.
Quilt Displayed at International Juried Show
In her first competition into a juried show, Barbara’s art quilt “Out on a Limb” was chosen by The Brush Gallery in Lowell, MA to appear in its international exhibit, “Tree, Tree, Tree.” Read the accompanying news article to see her beautiful quilt.
World Quilt Parades
Nine of Barbara’s quilts were included in this global exhibit sponsored by the American Quilter’s Society (scroll to Chapters F (last six quilts) and G (first three quilts). The link for the 2023 parade will be forthcoming this fall.
Other Quilt Shows
From Boston to Lowell and Concord to Cape Cod, Barbara has shown her art quilts in local and international juried shows and art galleries.
Her quilts also reside in the permanent collection in museums in Boston and Ohme, Japan as well as in private collections from San Francisco to Paris and Madrid.
Award-winning Teacher
Lessons.com named Barbara Graceffa one of the Ten Top Instructors for 2020. Competing with 74 instructors in her area, the award was based on merit and customer-driven criteria over 25 variables across 5 categories including:
